Order a cake
Come before eleven, or call and we will hold it.
There is no order form, because every cake we have made well started as a two-minute phone call. Ring the shop, say the date and the name, and we will take it from there.

Have these ready when you ring
-
01
The date
Two full days minimum, and we mean two — a Thursday cake is a Tuesday call. Saturdays in December go weeks ahead.
-
02
Who it is for
A name, an age if there is one, and anything they will not eat. This is genuinely most of the brief and it is where the good ones come from.
-
03
How many it feeds
Not a size in inches — a number of people. We will pick the tin. Eight, twenty and forty are the three we make most.
Roughly what things cost
Cakes and large orders are a phone call, two days ahead.

Asked most often
Can I send you a picture?
Yes, by text to the shop number, and it helps. We will tell you honestly if it is not something we can do well.
Do you do gluten free?
Not for cakes. There is one oven and one bench and we cannot promise you a clean one, so we would rather say no than say maybe.
Can you deliver it?
No. Collection only, and we would rather you carried it flat on a passenger seat than trusted anyone with it.
What if I need it tomorrow?
Ring anyway. Sometimes there is a spare tin and a gap, and it costs you nothing to ask before nine.
